Fire testing laboratory

Selected Project · West Africa · 2024–2025

A fire-resistance testing laboratory and a container-based fire simulator, supplied and commissioned.

Elva served as the trade partner for a two-part project delivered to a government fire testing and certification institute.

The first component was a fire-resistance testing laboratory — the full equipment set for testing the fire resistance and non-combustibility of materials such as doors, cables, plastics and fabrics; the building works fell outside Elva's scope, with the complete equipment supply carried by Elva. The second component was a container-based fire simulator: a computer- and camera-controlled system designed for varied fire scenarios involving oil, plastics and other combustible materials, suited to extinguishing by water, foam or sand. Elva carried the engagement from needs analysis and project preparation through equipment supply, delivery and commissioning assistance.
